When considering treatment with dermal fillers and other injectables, it is important to remember that experience and technique matter! These treatments can be diluted in different ways, and their effectiveness can vary based on how they are diluted or who injects them. Dr. Copeland and Dr. Copeland-Halperin take a hands-on approach and believe optimal results require a careful eye and expertise. That’s why they personally inject their patients rather than delegating treatments.
Dr. Michelle Copeland is a Harvard-trained and board-certified plastic surgeon whose Manhattan practice has flourished by serving thousands of patients, including celebrities. She practices a full range of plastic and reconstructive surgery for both adult and pediatric patients and has been invited to speak at international conferences to present her pioneering techniques for enhancing facial rejuvenation at scientific symposiums in Paris, Cyprus, Florence, Milan, South Africa, Bangkok, Tokyo, and Beijing.
Dr. Copeland frequently appears on national television programs, including NBC’s “Today Show” and ABC’s “Good Morning America”. She is regularly quoted in major newspapers and beauty magazines, including The New York Times, Town & Country, Allure, Women’s Health, Elle, Lucky, Parade, and Cosmopolitan. She serves as a teaching faculty member at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and on the Medical Health Advisory Board for the Society for the Advancement of Women’s Health Research, advising Congress on health issues affecting women.
Dr. Copeland-Halperin is proud to join her mother’s esteemed practice. An accomplished plastic surgeon herself, Dr. Copeland-Halperin studied at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and then completed her residency in general surgery at the Inova Fairfax Medical Center, a large tertiary care hospital in Northern Virginia. She became Chief Resident for Quality and Safety and served on several hospital committees there. While at Inova Fairfax, Dr. Copeland-Halperin researched patient safety and quality outcomes in general and plastic surgery and won awards for research and teaching.
After training in general surgery, Dr. Copeland-Halperin pursued additional training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the prestigious Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where she was exposed to the full breadth of plastic surgery, including reconstruction after trauma and cancer, aesthetic and cosmetic surgery, wound healing and correction of congenital deformities. She then completed advanced training in microsurgery at the world-renowned Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston with a focus on implant-based and autologous breast reconstruction.
As one of very few mother-daughter plastic surgery duos in the nation, Dr. Copeland and Dr. Copeland-Halperin draw upon a wealth of institutional knowledge and experience to provide their patients with the best cosmetic, aesthetic, and reconstructive results. Together, they host many certifications to benefit you from the best techniques and care.
