Of all the areas of stubborn fat, a “double chin” can be one of the most frustrating issues for patients. This area does not respond to exercise or diet, and until recently, the only solution was surgery.
Now, there is a noninvasive alternative treatment for double chins! Dr. Copeland and Dr. Copeland-Halperin recommend KYBELLA®, the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment for adults. She is one of the first plastic surgeons in the New York City, NY, area to offer KYBELLA® for her patients to improve moderate to severe submental fat. The results have been effective, with patients reporting significant improvement in the area under their chin. Schedule a consultation to learn more about how this treatment can help work wonders for your facial profile!
KYBELLA® (deoxycholic acid) is an FDA-approved injectable treatment for adults that improves submental fat. When injected into the fat under your chin, KYBELLA® causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. Once you have decided that you have achieved your goals, retreatment with KYBELLA® is not expected.
Results with KYBELLA® may vary, and specific results are not guaranteed.
When injected by a board-certified plastic surgeon, KYBELLA® offers a number of benefits to patients seeking to improve their double chin. These benefits include:
Most patients above the age of 18 can benefit from KYBELLA® treatments. You may be a strong candidate for KYBELLA® if you share the following characteristics:
